When FAITH creates a storm!

Hi, beauties! I want to take a moment to talk you about how often times when we believe God for our dreams no matter how big or small, how almost immediately a storm comes. A few weeks ago I decided to step out on faith and to finally move forward in building my boutique and ministry only when all of sudden after I made the decision things turned for the worst. You mean to tell me that I finally make a decision to believe what God showed me and soon after people were barely coming into the boutique.  I just hired my first part-time associate and WHAT! I begin to question my decision, fear and doubt begin to creep in like a stalker ready to attack my mind. Make me lift my emotions high  above my head and tie up my faith! Jesus! I honestly begin finding myself wandering around my house in the mornings almost in a daze because this doesn't make any sense.  I had to make myself focus just to pray and before I could get a word out tears would stream down my face because while I wanted to talk I couldn't. All I could do was cry!

To some people this my appear not to be an issue.  But, when you are following your dreams and it turns for the worse sometimes tears are all that you have! But, I am so glad that God understands our tears....

On the other day, I finally got the courage to pray because for a few days I was having myself a good ole' pity party!  A cup of sorrow anyone? I kept looking at what did I do wrong? After all was said and done got up from prayer and went on my way.  It was at the peak of the day as I was working in silence that I heard these words, 'faith creates storms.'

I heard Sonya, when you believe what I said then the storm comes to do three things: check your mind, motives, and mission. It was brought to my remembrance when Peter asked Jesus could he step out on the water and Jesus said, 'come.' The moment that Peter took a step the storm came.  It took Peters eyes off of Jesus and in that moment he begin to sink.  Jesus, then says to him, 'oh ye of little faith, why did you doubt?'

Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water."

                                                        "Come," he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.  But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!"  Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?" Matthew 14:22-23

Then, the Lord bought to my remembrance Eve in the garden. It was after they believed God that the enemy begin to challenge their faith.  Did God, really say?

Have you ever had a dream and as soon as you said, okay I am ready, then here it comes?  Often times people see this as sign that its not time when in reality it is a sign. A sign that you are on the right track! The Lord told me the storm comes to do 3 things;

!)  to challenge your mindset - to question if you really believe God.  Is this what He really called you to do? To create doubt and fear.

Please note: Someone is questioning their marriage right after you believed God, He told me to tell you keep your eyes on Him it will turn around. (I don't know who that was for but believe God!)

2) to challenge your motives - this comes to make you check your motives, why am I doing this? Why do I really want to live my dreams? How bad do I want it?

3) to challenge your mission - to make you question your goals, purpose, or what you are aiming for.

Honestly, walking by faith is not easy! Beauties, no matter what, we are going to have to continue to believe that God has plans for us and they are good.  One day we will sit on our front porch and tell the story of how we made it over! Keep walking by faith!

Beautifully Speaking,

 Sonya
